About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Operations Intern to join our team at BMW Group. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of integrated supply chain solutions to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of parts and materials to our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of concepts and IT solutions to support essential daily tasks and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize processes for the availability of materials, components, and products for planned production and customer delivery.
- Analyze and improve the uncertainty of the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) process in the body shop area, increasing planning efficiencies and reducing inventory levels.
- Support process mapping and documentation of standard processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain visualization tools, material planning dashboards, and other data analytics and visualization projects.
- Support the implementation of sustainability initiatives, such as reducing CO2 emissions through the use of electric trucks.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and digitalization initiatives to drive process improvements and efficiency gains.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and technical skills, with experience using Power BI, SQL, and Data Lake a plus.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and ability to complete 3 alternating work terms for Co-op positions.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) and complete a substance abuse test before the work term.
