Job Title: Sleep Technologist/Polysomnographic Technologist

As a Sleep Technologist/Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing care to patients with sleep disorders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting overnight polysomnograms and home sleep testing
  • Providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
  • Documenting and scoring testing accurately in the medical record
  • Interviewing patients to assess their current medications, recent caffeine or alcohol ingestion, and current sleep patterns
  • Performing patient education and instruction for home sleep apnea testing

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in a health-related field
  • Successful completion of a sleep technology program
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Two (2) years of experience in a sleep lab
