About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a travel assignment in Peoria, IL. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and developing treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating patient needs and recommending treatment plans
  • Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
  • Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
  • Performing timely and accurate documentation
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement
  • Teaching and counseling patients and families

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification
  • BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families
  • At least 2 years of experience
