We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our team at St. Mary Dialysis. As a Clinical Dialysis Technician, you will play a vital role in providing dialysis treatments and ensuring the well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities- Perform dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patients during dialysis treatment, assessing vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
- Set up and operate dialysis machines, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by the physician.
- Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documenting treatment activities and patient progress.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards in the dialysis unit.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of a dialysis technician training program preferred.
- Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) required within 18-months of employment.
