About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Analytics and Governance Specialist. This role will play a critical part in improving the quality of our data in the data warehouse by influencing data decisions and identifying and resolving data issues in production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of a new enterprise metadata management application in Informatica EDC and Axon.
  • Support the initiative to expand data quality monitoring and management within a data tool such as Informatica Data Quality.
  • Support data governance reporting through the build-out of Power BI dashboards.
  • Work closely with the business to manage, maintain, and enhance data sources behind the scenes.
Requirements
  • Current student studying mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related data management programs.
  • Familiarity with database systems, Microsoft Excel, and other data manipulation technologies, data visualization platforms, and general data warehousing.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop proactive solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to make recommendations by translating data analysis insights into decisions and actions.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to concisely communicate recommendations to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Available to work a hybrid schedule 10-20 hours/week during the academic year and 40 hours/week during the summer.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior internship experience and 2+ years of college preferred, but will consider all candidate applications.
