Application Overview

Position Summary:
The Division of Neonatology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, is seeking qualified neonatal hospitalists to join our esteemed team.

Appointment Details:
Successful candidates will be appointed at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor within the Health Sciences (HS) Clinical, Clinical X, or Adjunct faculty series, depending on their experience.

Clinical Responsibilities:
The role may involve clinical duties across multiple campuses, contributing to our mission of excellence in research, education, and patient care. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing care for patients in the level IV intensive care nursery.
2. Managing lower acuity patients independently and high acuity patients under supervision.
3. Participating in neonatal resuscitations and potentially joining the neonatal transport team.

Academic Engagement:
Academic activities will align with the candidate's interests and may include:
- Clinical teaching and resident education.
- Quality improvement initiatives.
- Clinical research and investigations.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A medical degree and valid medical license.
- Board eligibility or certification in pediatrics.
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A strong interest in pursuing a career in academic pediatrics.

Compensation:
For positions with 51% effort or more, the minimum salary range is $104,800-$320,100, with eligibility for additional compensation through the health sciences compensation plan. For positions with 50% effort or less, the estimated salary range is $74,800-$228,600.
