Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of the Medix team, the Director of Business Operations will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing relationships with existing clients, including sponsors, CROs, and research institutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring satisfaction and contract renewals for assigned accounts
  • Identifying client needs and providing solutions to meet their clinical research staffing requirements
Business Development:

The Director of Business Operations will drive the growth of sponsor partnerships by identifying new business opportunities within the clinical research space.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting market research to identify emerging trends and potential sponsors for clinical trials
  • Developing and executing strategies to attract new sponsors, CROs, and biotech/pharmaceutical companies
Clinical Trial Growth:

The Director of Business Operations will work closely with sponsors and internal teams to ensure the seamless onboarding of clinical trials.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with clinical operations, finance, and legal teams to negotiate contracts and facilitate trial start-up activities
  • Developing and implementing strategies to increase the volume of clinical trials managed by the company
Sales & Revenue Generation:

The Director of Business Operations will meet or exceed sales targets by closing new contracts and expanding relationships with existing clients.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering sales presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to client needs
  • Creating pricing strategies and negotiating terms with sponsors to ensure competitive and profitable service offerings
Networking & Industry Presence:

The Director of Business Operations will represent the company at industry conferences, webinars, and networking events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building a strong network within the clinical research industry to foster new partnerships
  • Staying current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and innovations in clinical research to position the company as a market leader

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of CR or healthcare sales BD experience
  • Must be based in Birmingham and willing to travel to three sites
