Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing radiographic procedures using imaging modalities. They will apply principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle, exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures, and provide patient care essential to ultrasound procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures using imaging modalities
  • Apply principles of radiation protection and the ALARA principle
  • Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures
  • Provide patient care essential to ultrasound procedures
  • Recognize patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiate life support measures
  • Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationship with fellow employees, other departments, and the Medical Staff
  • Perform radiology services on call as needed
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiology Technology
  • Associates of Applied Sciences or above
  • Competency in components of Medical Imaging practice as appropriate
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Advanced ARRT Registration is preferred or Advanced certification in ultrasound and vascular ultrasound
  • CPR (BLS)
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning personal, financial, medical, and employment status of patients of HCCH and their families. They must also follow accepted safety practices for patients and hospital, report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action, and participate in safety instructional programs.
