Key Responsibilities

  • Create and develop new menus that showcase the best of local and international cuisine
  • Ensure food safety and quality by implementing and maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and sanitation
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and scheduling
  • Collaborate with the general manager and owner to align kitchen operations with the overarching goals of the establishment
  • Recruit, hire, and train chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff
  • Maintain kitchen equipment, including cleaning, scheduling repairs, and additional maintenance as needed

Requirements

  • University degree in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a chef, sous chef, or line cook in a high-end restaurant or hospitality company
  • Strong attention to detail and creativity in menu development
  • Ability to oversee and manage kitchen operations, including inventory, ordering, and scheduling
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
