Position Overview:
We are in search of a proactive and seasoned Maintenance Reliability Manager to enhance our operations in Carrollton, Georgia. This newly created role is crucial for ensuring the reliability of equipment and processes through the development and execution of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team of maintenance professionals, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Oversight: Manage and direct a team responsible for the upkeep and repair of industrial machinery and equipment, including both electrical and mechanical systems, while ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Maintenance Coordination: Organize and allocate maintenance tasks via work orders, ensuring prompt completion and follow-up.
- Equipment Calibration: Supervise the scheduling and maintenance of equipment calibrations, such as spark testers and line counters.
- Technical Guidance: Lead efforts in diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctioning machinery, utilizing diagnostic tools and collaborating with maintenance personnel.
- Lean Initiatives: Champion and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, fostering continuous improvement in maintenance processes.
- Process Enhancement: Evaluate current equipment and processes, collaborating with operations and engineering teams to implement enhancements that boost reliability and efficiency.
- Inventory Oversight: Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service agreements for maintenance-related resources.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate reports, analyze maintenance data, and provide informed recommendations to enhance operations and address maintenance challenges.
- Training & Development: Ensure maintenance staff are well-trained, equipped, and motivated to perform their roles safely and efficiently.
- CMMS Oversight: Maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track work orders, equipment maintenance history, and key performance metrics.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing context.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, including digital controls.
- Strong foundation in mechanical systems and electronic controls with practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills:
- Expertise in diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret specifications and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using software applications such as Word and Excel.
- Ability to effectively manage and lead a technical team.
