Position Overview

• Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and execute necessary welding tasks on all mining equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs for catastrophic failures.
• Refuel and lubricate machinery as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of experience in welding and repairing heavy diesel machinery, including hard surfacing and the repair of ground-engaging tools.
• Proficiency in the following welding positions: horizontal, vertical, and overhead.
• Competence in using a torch, air arc, stick welding, and wire welding techniques.
• Familiarity with MIG and TIG welding units and the various metals utilized in mining equipment.
• One year of experience in align boring and re-facing is preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills are essential.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Willingness to work any assigned shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands

• Capability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to remain seated for up to four hours while operating equipment or vehicles.
• Capacity to work from elevated positions and navigate stairs, steps, and ladders.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads frequently throughout the work shift.
• Proficiency in performing repetitive hand and wrist motions and maintaining rapid reflexes.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including changing weather, dust, noise levels, and lighting.
• Requirement to wear appropriate protective footwear, hearing, and eye protection, along with other personal protective equipment as mandated by Company and MSHA regulations.
