Responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Specialist:
Oversee the daily operations of nursing assistants
Complete necessary documentation upon resident admission, discharge, and transfer; chart and record in accordance with facility policy
Prepare and administer medications as prescribed by physicians and perform other medication administration tasks per established protocols
Conduct daily rounds of the unit and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications for the Practical Nursing Specialist:
Ability to care for patients with high acuity
Encourage and facilitate teamwork
Exhibit a high standard of ethics
Reliability
Provide excellent customer service

Essential Requirements:
Must possess a valid nursing license in Michigan
Experience in long-term care
CPR Certification
Availability to work every other weekend
Must be fully vaccinated
