Polysomnographic Technologist

Howard University Hospital is seeking a Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for conducting sleep studies, preparing and calibrating equipment, and documenting patient data. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sleep studies and prepare and calibrate equipment as needed.
- Document patient data and maintain accurate records.
- Work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Implement appropriate interventions, including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention.
- Follow "lights out" and "lights on" procedures to establish and document baseline values and complete the data collection process.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state-licensed and nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a sleep technician.
- Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
