Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Echocardiography Specialist to join our team at the University of California. In this role, you will perform 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode, and Doppler studies under the supervision of our Cardiac Imaging Physicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Notify Cardiac Imaging Physicians of urgent and/or Pre-Operative Echo Readings
  • Prepare preliminary interpretation of echo studies
  • Maintain records pertinent to echo studies
  • Perform other duties as assigned and directed by the UCLA Cardiac Imaging Physicians and Manager
Requirements
  • Graduate of Cardiac Echocardiography Technology Program
  • Registered in The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and/or with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge and ability to apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to push the 500+ lb. echo machine for distances up to 100 feet within the office
  • Skill and manual dexterity to manipulate transducer and buttons, and knobs on the echo machine to obtain optimal studies
  • Knowledge, skill, and ability to use P.C. and word processing software to generate written preliminary reports
Working Conditions

This position will support both Burbank and Encino UCLA Health locations.

Salary

$69.74/hourly
