Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Morrison Healthcare. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards.
  • Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
  • Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them to associates and customers.
  • Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, and track product production, consumption, and waste.

Requirements:

  • SafeServ Certified
  • At least 3 years of prior hospital cook experience
