About the RoleWe are seeking a part-time cashier to join our team at our Burlingame location. As a part-time cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. If you are a customer service-driven individual who is flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, we encourage you to apply.
Essential Functions- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, responding to their needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Processing Sales: Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment.
- Inventory Management: Restock inventory, conduct price checks, and take returned products back to their proper shelf locations.
- Store Maintenance: Clean up and maintain a clean and organized store environment, including retrieving baskets and carts and performing general housekeeping duties.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with customers, colleagues, and management, providing clear and concise information and responding to questions and concerns in a timely manner.
- Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Detailed Orientation: Must be detail-oriented and able to accurately process sales transactions and maintain inventory.
- Customer Service: Must be able to provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer needs and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Technology: Must be able to learn new technology and operate a cash register and other point-of-sale systems.
- Availability: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Lifting: Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 pounds.
- Standing: Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking: Must be able to walk for up to 6 hours per day.
- Reaching: Must be able to reach for up to 4 hours per day.
