The Opportunity
Huron is dedicated to assisting its clients in fostering growth, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining a competitive edge in their respective markets. We collaborate with healthcare organizations to cultivate innovative capabilities and expedite crucial growth initiatives, empowering them to shape their futures rather than merely responding to disruptions. Together, we enable our clients to achieve sustainable growth, streamline internal processes, and enhance patient outcomes.
Healthcare systems, hospitals, and medical facilities face significant challenges in improving clinical results while minimizing the costs associated with patient care. Merely investing in new partnerships, clinical services, and technology is insufficient for driving substantial and meaningful change. To thrive in the long term, healthcare organizations must empower leaders, clinicians, employees, affiliates, and communities to foster cultures of innovation that lead to optimal patient outcomes.
By becoming a part of Huron, you will play a pivotal role in helping our clients navigate the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape, optimize their business operations, enhance clinical outcomes, create a more patient-centered healthcare experience, and promote engagement among physicians, patients, and employees across the organization.
Position Summary
Managers at Huron are vital contributors, bringing invaluable expertise to the projects they oversee and the teams they guide. As leaders of change, our Managers establish enduring partnerships with clients while collaborating with colleagues to address our clients' most pressing business challenges. Huron Managers are instrumental in shaping and delivering results that align seamlessly with client objectives, visions, and missions. Additionally, our Managers dedicate significant time to mentoring junior team members, sharing their knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and personal achievement.
In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to specialize in areas that highlight your expertise while gaining exposure to a wide range of capabilities within our performance improvement practice. Huron offers the scale necessary for career growth while providing the individual attention required for professional development. Every team member contributes to our organizational identity, and as you evolve, so do we.
Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proven organizational and planning abilities, with a track record of managing complex multi-workstream performance improvement projects or multiple concurrent client engagements while overseeing the work of junior team members. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to synthesize complex data sets and interpret qualitative and quantitative trends to implement recommendations that yield measurable performance improvements and successful organizational change. Professional written and verbal communication skills; ability to provide clear direction to project teams, develop key deliverables, escalate risks, and influence stakeholders, including client and internal senior leadership. Capacity to collaborate with team members and client counterparts to understand business challenges and adapt methodologies to ensure alignment with client objectives. Experience in team leadership, including talent development, training, supervision, coaching/mentoring, and performance management. Adherence to utilization expectations set by practice, with responsibility for managing this effectively. Completion of all assigned training courses and compliance requirements. Experience in healthcare operations, directing hospital departments, medical groups, or team-based projects focused on performance improvement initiatives and change management. Leadership experience in hospital departments or medical groups, focusing on operations, physician compensation, patient access, or other relevant industry experience. Project leadership experience within a consulting environment, emphasizing performance improvement in inpatient, post-acute, or medical group settings. Expertise in population health and value-based care leadership roles, focusing on care pathways and delivery optimizations under value-based arrangements. Experience in customer engagement and contact center operations, with a solid understanding of contact center technology and scheduling processes.CORE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required. Willingness to travel weekly up to 80% and work extended hours as necessary. Strong leadership and management skills aligned with Huron's core values. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to quickly establish trust and collaboration. Ability to train and contribute to the professional development of Huron staff in project management and technical areas. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
