Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at 124 Advocate Condell Medical Center. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist RNs with daily patient care, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
- Measure and document patient data, such as blood pressures, temperatures, and intake/output.
- Perform purposeful rounding and communicate patient observations and needs to RNs.
- Participate in admission, transfer, and discharge processes, including room setup and patient orientation.
- Collect and process patient specimens and perform point-of-care testing as needed.
- Complete various errands and tasks, such as delivering trays and charts, and maintaining nursing area stock.
- Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper technique and assistive devices.
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days.
- Nurse Aide certification in good standing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and perform other physical demands of the job.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
