Big Bend Community College is seeking a highly motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Childcare Aide in our Childcare Center. As a Childcare Aide, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young students, supporting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children, including feeding, bathing, and changing diapers.
- Engage in play activities, such as reading, singing, and arts and crafts, to promote cognitive and motor skill development.
- Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring a healthy and balanced diet for our students.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Record attendance, meal counts, and incident reports, as required.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and policies.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Current TB skin test and negative results within the last 12 months.
- Current Mumps, Measles, and Rubella immunity.
- HIV/AIDS Bloodborne Pathogen Training within the last 12 months.
- Current Basic First Aid/CPR for Infant/Child/Adult Certification.
- Current Washington State Food Worker Card.
- Completed DCYF-approved Child Care Basics training or ECED 107 Health, Safety & Nutrition class.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children from various cultural, socioeconomic, and ability backgrounds.
- English/Spanish or English/Ukrainian/Russian proficiency.
