Position Overview

The Fraud Risk Assessment Specialist plays a crucial role in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating fraudulent ecommerce activities while minimizing financial losses. Reporting directly to the Director of Fraud Management, this position will contribute to the development and implementation of advanced fraud detection systems and processes, as well as establish new fraud prevention protocols based on identified risk factors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine ecommerce and retail transactions to detect patterns indicative of fraud.
  • Report findings on fraud trends to upper management.
  • Propose enhancements to online retail processes to reduce fraud exposure.
  • Collaborate with retail management to support in-store investigations.
  • Analyze chargeback data through targeted analysis to uncover fraud trends.
  • Engage in proactive research and investigation of fraud and risk management trends within the industry to ensure a top-tier fraud management strategy for the Mobile Business.
  • Assist with audits and perform ad-hoc analyses, data extractions, and table creations utilizing SQL.
  • Help develop standardized reporting, dashboards, and visual data representations for management and stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in data analytics.
  • Proficient SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with credit bureau and fraud detection technologies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
