Main Responsibilities

The Reliability Excellence Planning Lead is responsible for improving workforce productivity and work quality by eliminating potential delays and obstacles through proper planning of maintenance work. This involves reviewing and screening work orders, developing and maintaining planned and predictive maintenance procedures, and identifying and obtaining necessary materials and equipment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure accurate and complete work orders, including proper filling out and verification of availability.
  • Develop and maintain planned and predictive maintenance procedures, examining jobs to be completed and determining the best way to accomplish the work.
  • Identify and obtain necessary materials, special tools, and equipment, estimating costs and maintaining backlog files of work orders waiting scheduling.
  • Develop a file of standard work orders for regularly recurring repair jobs, based on historical experience.
  • Review actual labor expended versus estimated labor and material used for completed jobs, conducting informal training as required.
  • Review all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy, updating machinery history data and ensuring bill of materials are up to date.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with a 2-year vocational or technical degree preferred. A minimum of 5 or more years of progressive experience operating in the capacity as a plant maintenance worker, preferably as a millwright or electrician, is required. Strong mathematical skills and the ability to read blueprints and shop drawings are essential.
