Job Summary

Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including CT scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
    • Report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or service provider.
  • Patient Care
    • Verify proper clinician orders for procedures.
    • Obtain complete clinical histories and gather examination data.
    • Assess for contraindicating conditions and follow established procedures for the administration of contrast media.
  • Quality Control
    • Consistently produce high-quality images.
    • Ensure that all studies are properly identified and documented.
  • Operations
    • Restock linens and supplies, and maintain a clean and orderly department.
    • Transport patients, position patients, and assist with procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology.
  • License and Certification
    • ARRT Radiography certification.
    • Basic Life Support or BLS certification.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology, with less than 1 year of experience in CT preferred.
Skills
  • Communication
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information to patients and staff.
  • Teamwork
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Problem-Solving
    • Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
