Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Imaging
    • Prepare patients for MRI exams, ensuring they are comfortable and secure.
    • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Patient Care and Safety
    • Monitor patients during exams, ensuring their safety and comfort.
    • Recognize and report any changes in patient condition or motor abnormalities.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting
    • Perform routine maintenance and calibration checks on MRI equipment.
    • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist with patient scheduling and exam coordination.
    • Complete exams and prepare images for radiologist review.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registered Technologist (R.T.) required for positions filled after September 5, 2010.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience as a Radiology Technologist, required. Previous MRI experience, preferred.
