Job Summary

This role is responsible for assisting with daily functions of the Office of Student Engagement on the Floyd campus to improve service to students. Georgia Highlands College offers excellent opportunities for students to grow their skills while furthering their education.

Responsibilities
  • Understand and support the college's mission, vision, and values, and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
  • Perform daily functions of the Student Engagement Office, including answering phone calls, copying, faxing, and maintaining campus postings.
  • Assist with set-up and break down of campus events.
  • Post event flyers.
  • Help maintain the Student Center.
  • Participate in mandatory training.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled at Georgia Highlands College.
  • Must be Pell Grant eligible (FAFSA).
  • Must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
  • Must have an unmet need based on total cost of attendance of student.
Proposed Salary

$12.00 per hour

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge and ability to operate Microsoft office.
  • Understanding of customer service with some experience.
  • Ability to follow specific directions and instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately.
  • Ability to work independently on a task and to utilize appropriate critical thinking, decision making and problem solving within area of responsibility.
