Key Responsibilities:- Fills prescriptions and prepares Sterile Compounding according to quality standards and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Works under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- May be responsible for staging, preparing, and filling orders for residents at long-term care facilities and Alere, high-risk pregnant women.
- May be responsible for compounding Sterile Compounding orders and syringes for Alere in a Class 100 clean room.
- May be responsible for data entry and assisting pharmacists with calling nursing homes and Alere for refill orders.
- Maintains, cleans, and accounts for pumps.
- Fills, answers phones, and stocks areas in the IV department as directed.
- Works with Lead IV Technician to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Responsible for replenishing and maintaining Emergency Drug Kits (EDK) provided to Long Term Care Facilities.
- Communicates with pharmacists or supervisors regarding USP 797 and Operations.
- May be responsible for shipping and tracking Alere packages through overnight 3rd party logistics company.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Attendance mandatory for first 90 days.
- 6+ months of IV pharmacy technician experience.
- Must have WV Pharmacy Technician License.
This is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based on attendance, performance, and business needs. Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance. A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates.
