Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician position at MemorialCare Health System is a critical role in our pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to provide safe, accurate, and timely delivery of medications to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process new orders and access patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) as needed
  • Issue drug doses to nurses, fill medication cassettes, and prepare patient doses
  • Maintain compliance with USP and regulations when preparing IV admixtures
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers, other healthcare professionals, and patients

Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in an inpatient hospital pharmacy setting, preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in compounded sterile products preparation and procedures, preferred
  • Graduated from a Pharmacy Technician program
  • CA Pharmacy Technician license, required
