Physician, Family Medicine and Research Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician and Scientist to join our team at Family Health Centers of San Diego. As a Physician and Scientist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional healthcare to our patients while also conducting and partnering on original research initiatives.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment with a diverse patient population. You will be responsible for providing complete medical services to patients, conducting research, and supervising mid-level providers.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about community medicine and has a demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality care to underserved populations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide complete medical services to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of chronic and acute conditions
- Conduct and partner on original research initiatives, including generating novel research and seeking extramural funding
- Supervise mid-level providers and ensure high-quality care is provided to patients
- Participate in administrative duties, including lab reports, charts, and medication refills
- Participate in on-call schedule and respond to patient needs in a timely manner
- Board certified in a Primary Care field
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training
- DEA license
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
- Masters in Research preferred
- 1 year experience working in Family Practice required; experience with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless persons preferred
- Demonstrated record of research dissemination activity, including peer-reviewed publications and scholarly presentations
- Experience leading research and/or clinical teams in project planning and implementation, as well as data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse social, cultural, and economic groups
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) capabilities strongly desired
We offer a competitive salary range of $250,000.00 to $275,000.00, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package, including a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
