Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraeducator to support our Speech and Language program. The successful candidate will work closely with our special education team to provide individualized support to students with exceptional needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized education programs for students with communication disorders
  • Provide one-on-one support to students in a structured environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement behavioral interventions and strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of student progress and behavior
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of experience working with children in a structured environment, preferably including work with children who have exceptional needs
  • Minimum of six college units in areas such as child behavior, child growth and development, health, learning disabilities, early childhood education, or child psychology
  • Two recent letters of reference
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality
