Speech-Language Pathologist for Educational Settings

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work within an educational environment. The SLP will play a crucial role in evaluating, diagnosing, and providing therapy for students facing challenges with speech, language, and communication.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments to identify various speech and language disorders in students.
  • Create and execute tailored treatment strategies that cater to individual student requirements.
  • Deliver therapy sessions to students, both in one-on-one and group formats.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and school personnel to enhance students' communication and learning experiences.
  • Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist in formulating and reviewing personalized student objectives.
  • Track and document student advancements, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of records related to assessments, therapy sessions, and progress updates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active SLP license or certification in the relevant state.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred.
  • Experience in a school-based setting is highly advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to function effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
