About the Position:

This part-time contract position offers competitive hourly compensation and flexible contract terms, including weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees. As an Elementary School Therapy Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in a school setting with a focus on student success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Therapy Services: Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate students' needs and develop tailored therapy plans. Deliver direct therapy services focused on motor skills, sensory integration, and adaptive techniques.
  • Collaboration and Training: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom setting. Develop and lead training sessions for educators and parents on strategies to support students with various needs.
  • Documentation and Progress Tracking: Track and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Contribute to the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend related meetings.

Requirements:

  • A Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active Maine OT License.
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $40-$60 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a competitive hourly rate for this part-time contract position.
