About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary and urgent medical management for critically ill patients
  • Collaborate with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Teach and mentor residents and medical students to enhance their knowledge and skills
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
  • Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
  • Eligible for Prescriptive Authority in the state of practice
