As a Sales Floor Specialist, you will act as a brand representative, ensuring outstanding in-store experiences through positive customer engagement. In this role, you will utilize your natural problem-solving and sales skills to address customer inquiries and provide compelling product recommendations while upholding Columbia Sportswear Company's values to enhance customer service and teamwork.
YOUR IMPACT- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing consumer inquiries regarding product features, benefits, and availability; engage with customers to comprehend their needs and preferences (e.g., demonstrate and explain merchandise, suggest suitable options, etc.).
- Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stockroom, or other inventory locations.
- Efficiently and accurately perform all required cash register transactions (e.g., sales, returns, exchanges, connecting consumers to loyalty programs).
- Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow in the stores accurately and efficiently.
- No specific educational requirements (High School Diploma or GED preferred).
- Up to 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and other in-store computerized systems.
- Regularly in a more active environment (i.e., requires the ability to move about frequently) that can be physical or strenuous in nature (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.), may frequently use specialized equipment, and may have exposure to dust and noise.
- Occasionally requires the ability to work in place.
- Ability to communicate clearly with others.
- Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
