Job Summary:

Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining complex mechanical systems and equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain internal and external machine components, including shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, rolls, couplings, and motors.
  • Maintain and repair primary sensing elements, control circuitry, and final control devices used in closed and open loop industrial process control systems.
  • Implement setup, operation, and safe use of equipment such as hand tools, wrenches, electric and air-powered portable tools, carpentry tools, and machine tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical/electronic systems problems using ammeters, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, following proper 5S principles and documenting maintenance activities.
  • Support plant manufacturing equipment by performing emergency maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, modification, and calibration.
  • Create updated mechanical drawings and fabricate replacement parts as needed.
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with N.E.C., OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technician in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Ability to read elementary drawings and wiring diagrams.
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • 2-year mechatronic degree or equivalent training in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of applicable experience.
  • Ability to perform TIG and MIG welding.
  • Experience with installation and modification of control and power wiring up to 480 volts AC.
  • Familiarity with FDA and DEA regulations and GMP.
