In this role, you will play a vital part in the production process by assisting with the setup, operation, and maintenance of our Ink Jet Stitcher equipment. Your responsibilities will encompass ensuring high-quality stitching, adhering to production goals, and collaborating effectively with the Lead Ink Jet Stitcher Operator.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate in setting up the pockets of the Ink Jet Stitcher according to specific job requirements.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the Ink Jet Stitcher equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of books throughout the stitching process to maintain quality standards.
  • Manage paperwork and forms related to each production run.
  • Feed materials into the pocket system of the Ink Jet Stitcher.
  • Assist with preparing auxiliary equipment for operation (make-readies).
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Interpret job tickets, work orders, and other documentation to ensure accurate production execution.
  • Communicate effectively with the Lead Ink Jet Stitcher Operator to facilitate daily schedules and workflow.
  • Understand and fulfill customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Strive to meet or exceed production targets for make-readies, speeds, waste reduction, and overall efficiency.
  • Utilize tools such as wrenches, gauges, and tape measures for equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance tasks and identify when additional maintenance is required.
  • Execute other duties as assigned by management.
Your Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and responsibility in fulfilling your obligations.
  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot machine malfunctions effectively.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Exhibit strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Be adaptable and open to change when necessary.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Show initiative as a self-starter to complete projects and work orders independently.
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Be willing to work overtime as needed, including potential 12-hour shifts.
  • Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
