We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The University of Vermont Health Network. As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality care to families with children who have medical conditions requiring skilled nursing care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized self-care and parenting assessment, education, and support to families
- Collaborate with community service providers to identify and address developmental challenges and/or psycho-social concerns
- Offer skilled nursing services for pregnant/postpartum women with higher risk pregnancies due to medical, psychiatric, and/or substance use disorder diagnoses
- Support children up to 18 years of age with a medical diagnosis, including emotional adjustment support to children, their families, and their care providers
Requirements:
- Minimum one to two years of directly related parental/child health nursing and human services experience
- Previous home care parental child health nursing desired but not required; we are willing to train and develop a candidate who demonstrates a willingness and desire to learn home health nursing
- Central Line experience preferred
What We Offer:
- $10,000 Sign On Bonus for external applicants
- Up to $9,200 relocation package eligible
- Mileage reimbursed at Federal Gas Rates
Work-Life Balance:
Rotating weekends (approximately every 4 weeks) and holidays.
