Staff Physical Therapist, Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Physical Therapist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in a cardiac rehabilitation program.
- Implement medically prescribed physical therapy treatment, including exercises, modalities, and education, to promote optimal patient outcomes.
- Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to determine patient status and develop optimal treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and achieve treatment goals.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in clinical education and training of students and other healthcare professionals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
- New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) OR Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA).
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
