Staff Physical Therapist Cardiac Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Cardiac Rehabilitation team at NYU Langone Health. As a Staff Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in evaluating physical therapy needs and implementing comprehensive, medically prescribed physical therapy treatment to assigned patients in a supervised program of rehabilitation.
Responsibilities- Evaluate physical therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in a cardiac rehabilitation setting.
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
- Provide education and training to patients and families on physical therapy techniques and strategies for optimal recovery.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in cardiac rehabilitation physical therapy.
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
- New York State Physical Therapy License or temporary permit.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- BLS certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) OR Heartsaver CPR/AED certification (Issued by the American Heart Association-AHA) is required upon entry to the position.
