Location:
Remote

Compensation Range:
$65,000 - $72,000 based on experience and qualifications

Job Overview:

The Computer Merchant, LTD. is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and security of our systems and data.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain information assurance processes to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into system designs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
  • Provide guidance on compliance with government security standards and frameworks.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate security policies and practices.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.

Security Clearance:
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory at the time of hire. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and will undergo a government security investigation.

Skills and Competencies:
  • In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DIACAP.
  • Proficient in current cybersecurity technologies and trends.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
