$65,000 - $72,000 based on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
The Computer Merchant, LTD. is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and security of our systems and data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain information assurance processes to safeguard sensitive information.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into system designs.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified vulnerabilities.
- Provide guidance on compliance with government security standards and frameworks.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate security policies and practices.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.
Security Clearance:
A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory at the time of hire. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and will undergo a government security investigation.
Skills and Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DIACAP.
- Proficient in current cybersecurity technologies and trends.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
