9B Neuro Cardiac Intermediate Team:
This unit fosters a diverse environment that encourages professional growth and development. Whether you are a recent nursing graduate eager to advance your career or an experienced nurse seeking leadership opportunities, our Neuro Cardiac Intermediate unit provides a supportive atmosphere. Our facility is unique in the area for performing craniotomies, and our team collaborates closely with neurosurgeons.

On 9B, we operate like a family, providing unwavering support and encouragement to one another. With minimal temporary staff, our nursing team is committed to collective success, ensuring that everyone has support when needed.

Unit Specifics:
The 9B unit consists of 19 beds, including 6 high acuity and 13 telemetry beds. We cater to a varied patient demographic with intricate cardiac and neurological requirements. Our patients often have complex needs, such as increased oxygen demands, advanced medication management, and rigorous neurological assessments. The patient population includes those with cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain evaluations, post-cardiac catheterization, and post-craniotomy care for brain tumors and stroke recovery. Many patients are in recovery from severe illnesses, necessitating close monitoring, comprehensive care coordination, and intensive rehabilitation services from physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Due to the high acuity of our patients, the typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3, with a 1:4 ratio for telemetry beds.
