Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Cost Accountant to join our team at SoLa Impact. As a key member of our construction administration team, you will be responsible for managing construction accounting tasks, including AIA format billing procedures, payment tracking, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction accounting tasks, including AIA format billing procedures, payment tracking, and documentation.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of construction contracts, with a preference for familiarity with AIA contracts, to facilitate seamless communication and compliance with project stakeholders.
  • Take charge of job cost analysis and reporting, utilizing advanced accounting techniques to monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and maintain precise financial records.
  • Excel in forecasting financial outcomes for construction projects by analyzing historical data, tracking expenses, and collaborating with project managers to provide accurate and actionable financial forecasts.
  • Ensure strict adherence to financial compliance regulations within the construction industry, maintaining meticulous documentation of all financial transactions, contracts, and billing records to support audits and project transparency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven Construction Administration experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' contract administration experience, real estate or asset management industry experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction terminology required; knowledge of project phasing preferred.
  • 2 years' experience with Yardi required; Procore a plus.
