About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team at UofL Health's South Hospital. This is a part-time, day shift opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality electroencephalogram (EEG) studies on patients throughout the hospital, including EMU, ICU, and outpatients as requested.
  • Monitor long-term EEGs (ICU and/or EMU) for abnormal activity and take immediate steps to notify appropriate parties of the findings per hospital policy.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and proficiency of job responsibilities and strive to provide the highest quality of patient/testing/care.
  • Present a pleasing professional manner to patients, staff, and visitors and maintain open communication with the department and staff physicians.
  • Support and contribute to the department and hospital objectives/mission while adhering to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Supervisor/Department Director with the orientation/training of new employees.
  • Continually strive for personal improvement and keep abreast of changing modalities within the field.
  • Assist with administrative and secretarial duties as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma (HSD) or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Associate's degree in science or health-related field (preferred).
  • ABRET certification for registered EEG Technologist (preferred).
