Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our team in the Staunton, VA area. This role will involve ensuring contractors' compliance with project plans and documents, as well as inspecting construction activities to ensure quality control and contract compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee project inspection activities, including reviewing and interpreting plans and contract documents.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation using VDOT Materials Book and project management software.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including localities and VDOT, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with other Inspectors and Inspector Trainees to achieve project goals.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • 3+ years' experience in roadway or bridge construction inspection.
  • Ability to work day and night shifts, as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with VDOT standards and specifications.
