Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team at ProCare Therapy and make a significant impact on students' speech and language development.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting preliminary screenings and assessments under the supervision of an SLP to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Implementing therapy plans developed by SLPs, which may involve individual or group sessions with students.
  • Observing and documenting students' progress during therapy sessions and reporting back to the SLP.
  • Providing reinforcement activities and exercises that reinforce speech and language goals set by the SLP.
  • Collaborating with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities and routines.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Communicating with parents or guardians regarding student progress and strategies for supporting speech and language development at home.
  • Preparing and organizing materials and equipment needed for therapy sessions.
  • Ensuring adherence to legal and ethical guidelines, as well as school district policies, related to the provision of speech-language services.
Qualifications:
  • Valid North Carolina State SLPA license.
  • Desire to work in pediatrics and make a difference.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
