Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is currently seeking Senior Radar Systems Engineers to join our Airborne Multifunction Systems (AMS) Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) team at our Linthicum, MD facility, contributing to various significant development initiatives.

These initiatives encompass sensors for both current and future air, land, and maritime platforms:

including Joint Strike Fighter, F-22, F-16, G/ATOR (Ground/Air Task Oriented Radar), unmanned systems, and other classified programs and missions.

We provide the chance to be part of a team dedicated to addressing challenges in the field and implementing innovative solutions for next-generation Radar and Multi-Function systems across a broad spectrum of platforms and operational environments.

Qualified candidates will leverage robust systems engineering expertise and will have the opportunity to engage in various tasks, including but not limited to: System Architecture/Concept Development, Candidate Technology Trade Studies, Requirements Development and Derivation, Algorithm Development, Performance Analysis, Data Analysis, and collaboration with cross-disciplinary hardware, software, and firmware teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

This role primarily focuses on the development and deployment of Air-to-Air, Air-to-Ground, and Ground-to-Air Radar systems for advanced dedicated and multi-function RF subsystems.

During the early stages of the system lifecycle, systems engineers create parametric representations, visualizations, and data-driven analyses to support sensor requirements definition and use case validation.

As the process advances beyond analysis and design, Northrop Grumman Systems Engineers also facilitate the integration of sensor modes and trackers from digital simulation environments to sensor laboratories and our fleet of specially modified test aircraft.

Throughout this process, our AMS Systems Engineers collaborate with our clients to reconcile their functional and performance needs with other sensor capabilities to enable true multi-function operation.
