Job Title: Senior-Level Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior-Level Engineer to join our team at Anchor QEA. As a Senior-Level Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our growing local and regional teams with projects related to sediment remediation and coastal engineering.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and design projects involving dredging, capping, stream restoration, confined disposal facilities, beneficial reuse, beach nourishment, wetland construction, or coastal design concepts.
  • Lead engineering planning and design, including concept designs, alternative studies, basis of design requirements, construction drawings, technical reports and specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Coordinate with geotechnical, coastal, and dredging engineers, planners, and biologists.
  • Manage team and coordinate with client's project manager and/or technical staff.
  • Develop client relationships, lead proposals, and contribute to the sales process.
  • Analyze complex problems and develop value-engineered solutions.
  • Lead the preparation and coordination of project deliverables, including construction documents.
  • Ensure that work products are prepared in accordance with Anchor QEA's quality management program.
  • Ability to travel for field site visits and project meetings in various US locations.
  • Participate in construction support activities, including review of contractor requests for information and submittals and oversight of construction activities.
Requirements:
  • BS or MS degree in a relevant engineering field (civil, environmental, geotechnical).
  • 8 to 15 years of relevant work experience as a Coastal, Environmental, Remediation, or Civil Engineer.
  • Experience with coastal engineering and flood resiliency design projects and concepts.
  • Experience with in-water and upland remediation sites, including the planning and implementation of sampling, data analysis, feasibility studies, and remedial design.
  • Strong understanding of the application of engineering principles to engineering design, including cost estimating, development of plans and specifications, development of bid packages, development of dredge plans, and overseeing design implementation in the field.
  • A Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within two years.
  • Project Management experience, including experience managing small to mid-level projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for field projects or client meetings.
