We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team at Veeco. As a key member of our supplier management team, you will be responsible for driving quality improvement and risk mitigation initiatives associated with our suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and implement appropriate supplier outgoing quality and incoming quality assurance inspection plans to support zero supplier defects impacting manufacturing operations.
* Drive Root Cause Corrective Actions with suppliers utilizing appropriate NCMR and/or SCAR (8D Tools) to reduce supplier defectivity as measured at IQA and within manufacturing operations.
* Participate and/or drive cross-functional supplier management teams enabling both selection and improvement of suppliers and contract manufacturers to provide successful delivery of on-time and on-target materials.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of 8 years of experience or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Quality or Manufacturing Engineering is required.
* ASQ CSQP preferred and ASQ QE; ASQ CQM/OE; ASQ/RAB Lead Auditor; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt are a plus.
