Job Title: Skilled Finish Carpenter

At Paul Davis Restoration of Eastern Ohio, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team. As a Finish Carpenter, you will be responsible for completing residential and commercial repair jobs assigned by our Project Managers. Your primary goal will be to complete all repairs within the given timeframe and to industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Work safely in residential and commercial properties that have been damaged by fire, water, storm, and/or mold.
  • Complete assigned repair jobs for residential and commercial properties using a punch list.
  • Communicate job progress with Estimators, Project Directors, Production Manager and/or Coordinators.
  • Demolition of structural damage to properties through the use of hand and power tools.
  • Complete measurements and calculate size and amount of material needed on assigned jobs.
  • Inspect damaged framework.
  • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes.
  • Complete drywall projects.
  • Complete painting projects.
  • Complete flooring projects such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, etc.
  • Complete trim projects (baseboard, casing, crown, etc).
  • Complete light plumbing and electrical projects.
  • Install kitchen and bath cabinets.
  • Complete kitchen and bath remodels.
  • Clean up assigned job sites; may be doing a day's worth of work on different job sites.
  • May be traveling to more than one job site per day.
  • Keep equipment clean and organized in the shop and in the vehicle.
  • Responsible for unloading trash and materials in assigned areas.
  • Check work throughout the project to ensure it is up to code and specifications.
  • Complete assigned jobs within budget and on time.
  • Complete jobs with mitigation department as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean record.
  • Desire to join a world-class team and contribute a positive attitude.
  • Dedication to customer service.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience with hanging, patching, finishing, & texturing drywall, and painting is a must.
  • 5 plus years experience in the construction/repair industry as a Tradesman/Carpenter.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 7 plus years experience in finish carpentry work.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasionally ascends and descends a ladder to complete jobs.
  • Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents.
  • Must be able to communicate and converse with customers and internal employees over the phone and face to face.
  • Frequently will lift up to 75lbs. or more.
  • Ability to safely operate a company vehicle.
