Position Overview

Health Images is seeking a dedicated and skilled OBGYN Ultrasound Specialist - RVT Technologist to enhance our team. This full-time role is pivotal in delivering high-quality ultrasound services to our patients.

Compensation

The position offers a competitive pay range of $48.31 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

As an OBGYN Ultrasound Specialist, you will:

1. Conduct ultrasound examinations for both adult and pediatric patients, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
2. Collaborate with Radiologists during specialized procedures to secure optimal images with minimal oversight.
3. Engage with patients to gather medical histories and provide clear instructions regarding procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding.
4. Review patient records for any missing clinical data and confirm consent for procedures.
5. Perform ultrasound scans, producing high-quality images while prioritizing patient care throughout the examination process.
6. Maintain ultrasound equipment, conducting regular inspections and promptly reporting any issues.
7. Work closely with the Lead Technologist and Center Manager to address departmental matters.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

- A minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound technology (preferred).
- The ability to educate patients about the procedures being performed.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and a collaborative spirit.
- Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Educational Requirements

- Graduation from an accredited Sonography program.
- Current ARDMS Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or ARRT (VS) certification (preferred).
- Valid state medical board license (if applicable).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.

Work Environment

This position operates in a controlled outpatient clinical setting, with potential exposure to various medical conditions. The role may require working in cool, dimly lit environments.
