Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing high complexity laboratory tests with minimal supervision, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering whole-person care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical duties, including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution.
  • Collaborate with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, as well as other Laboratory Services staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, protocols, and regulations to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in laboratory medicine and technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.
  • 1 year of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of Clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.
