Position Overview:

As a key member of our manufacturing team at Waukesha Foundry, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and precision of our castings through expert grinding and sandblasting techniques.

Grinding Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently eliminate excess material from detailed and complex castings utilizing various grinding equipment.
  • Interpret technical documentation to uphold surface finishes, contours, and dimensions of castings.
  • Ensure critical dimensions are consistently maintained throughout the grinding process.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of abrasive wheel changes and their application.

Sandblasting Responsibilities:

  • Adjust air pressure to achieve the optimal abrasive mixture for effective material removal and surface cleaning.
  • Clean intricate surfaces of castings while preserving their dimensional integrity.
  • Maintain all necessary contours of castings, ensuring surfaces are free from debris.

General Duties:

  • Operate hoisting equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Comprehend and utilize master sheets for operational guidance.
  • Employ basic arithmetic skills for measurement and calculations.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team environment to achieve production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.
